Privacy policy

Protecting your data matters to us. Here we explain which data is processed when you visit this website. It is based on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679) and the Italian Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended).

Hosting and server log files

When you visit the website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time, the page visited and your browser type in order to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the host. Log files are stored for the period set by the host and then deleted automatically.

Enquiry form and email

If you use the enquiry form or write to us, your details (travel dates, number of people, preferred apartment, breakfast request, name, email address, phone number, message) are sent to us by email and used solely to handle your enquiry and send you an offer (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). To prevent misuse, an anonymised value of your IP address is briefly stored on the server.

We keep your enquiry only as long as needed to handle it and any resulting booking, and as required by statutory retention obligations.

Online booking via Booking Südtirol

For online booking we use the booking system of Booking Südtirol, a service of the South Tyrolean Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Association (HGV). The booking system is only loaded when you click “Check availability”. Only then is a connection made to Booking Südtirol’s servers, transmitting technically necessary data such as your IP address.

If you book through the system, your booking data (dates, number of people, contact and payment details) is processed by Booking Südtirol and passed on to us to handle the booking (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Booking Südtirol may set technically necessary cookies. You can find more information in Booking Südtirol’s privacy policy, which is linked in the booking system.

Only if you have consented to the “Statistics” category does the booking system also set the cookie bs_widget_promotion (lifetime 30 days). It stores which source or advertising campaign brought you to our website (e.g. UTM parameters in the address), so that a booking or enquiry can be attributed to the right origin. With your consent, the booking system also reports steps such as search, start and completion of a booking (including the booking value) and enquiries to Google Analytics. Without consent this cookie is not set (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; Art. 122 Legislative Decree 196/2003).

Cookies and consent

On your first visit we ask you in a banner whether you consent to statistical analysis. Without your consent only technically necessary storage is used. Closing the banner with the “X” counts as a rejection; simply scrolling is not consent. Your choice is stored for six months. You can change or withdraw it at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. This is based on the GDPR, Art. 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and the cookie guidelines of the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) of 10 June 2021.

Google Analytics 4

Only with your consent do we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics records how the website is used, e.g. pages visited, time spent, approximate location, device and browser, and where the visit came from. We also record certain events: clicks on the phone number or email address, submitting the enquiry form and opening the booking system. The purpose is to improve the website and our offer and to measure the success of our advertising. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

IP address: Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. They are only used briefly to determine the approximate location and are then discarded.

Transfer to the USA: data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

Retention: analytics data is deleted in Google Analytics after 14 months. The “_ga” and “_ga_…” cookies remain in your browser for up to 2 years unless you delete them earlier or withdraw your consent.

Withdrawal: via “Cookie settings” you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. This website’s analytics cookies are then deleted. More information: Google’s privacy policy.
